Queens 18 v 13 Nenagh

Queen’s had to dig deep to secure a vital win over Nenagh at the Dub coming back form a 10 point deficit at half time.

Queen’s remain second in the table five points behind leaders Midleton but have a game in hand on the Cork side.

Queen’s didn’t get out of the blocks in the first half and the visitors who are also chasing promotion punished them with 10 unanswered points to build up a healthy half time lead.

Out half David Delaney opened the scoring for the Munster side with a penalty and he took an advantage of some poor defending by the students to score the game’s opening try which he converted.

Queen’s finally got their act together after the break and lock Michael Ferguson got a try.

Delaney increased Neangh’s with his second penalty before Queen’s took control of the game.

Porter landed a penalty before full back David McIlwane crossed for a try.

Captain Mark Robinson sealed the win when he finished of a sweeping back move.
