Very simple – STAGE Fright. Portadown are every inch a great side. Great Backs and Great Pack. They had the majority of possession and defended with complete focus. An absolutely superb game in which with a try dissallowed and totally dominating the scrum and lineout and constantly presurising the opposition forcing turnovers, stealing lineout ball and scoring a push over pack try and being at one point amongst others encamped on the opposition 22 and 5 metre line up to 10 minutes. We should not underestimate just how good this Portadown side is and with all of the dreams of glory and the pressure of the day the ball did not bounce and yet every single person and mostly the opposition know they got out of jail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
