PECKISH COCO-NOT

PECKISH COCO-NOT

Peckish, the UK’s leading wild bird food brand, has revolutionised the popular coconut suet filled feeder with its introduction of the Coco-Not®. The shell is made using UK harvest waste, making them 100% natural and sustainable.

Once the birds have finished feasting, simply pop the empty shell in your food waste bin or home compost and it will break down at the same rate as a banana peel! They can be hung from trees, or placed onto bird tables, for a no fuss feeding solution.

Coco-Not® feeders, better for nature:
not shipped across the world like coconut shells
not using plastic! 100% plant-based shell
not there after 12 weeks! 100% compostable

Head of Brand & Category, for Peckish, Rachael McWilliam, shares her top tips for encouraging beautifully colourful wild birds to your garden:
The key to attracting the UK’s favourite birds, such as Robins, Blue Tits, and Great Tits, is all in the type of food you offer. These birds have small beaks, so they need softer seeds that are high in energy. Bigger birds, like pigeons, prefer larger seeds like whole wheat and cereals.
Whether you’re using a feeding table or station, make sure it is placed somewhere birds feel safe. Don’t place them too close to walls or fences, as this could encourage predators to be on the lookout.
Birds need a constant supply of fresh water. In freezing temperatures, birds can find it hard to find a place to drink safely, so make sure you check on your bird baths daily to remove any ice and keep them topped up with fresh water. Placing a golf ball in your bird bath helps to prevent it freezing over. Water is just as important in hot, dry weather, so birds can enjoy a refreshing drink.
Keep your bird feeding stations clean. A simple rinse with warm, soapy water is the best way to keep your stations in top condition.

Peckish is committed to looking after nature, from ensuring its range is packed full of vital nutrients birds need, to sourcing its ingredients from local farmers, to even developing plastic-free packaging that can be recycled at kerbside – so you can feel good about caring for wild birds.
