Omagh celebrated the opening of their new pitch at Thomas Mellon Playing Fields on Saturday with a fine performance in a bonus point win

in a typically robust match played in excellent conditions. The Accies camp were delighted with their 40-0 win against a Grosvenor outfit that had caused them problems for the past few seasons.
“I am delighted to get the win and the bonus point is the icing on the cake. We stood up well in a very physical opening quarter and were able to build from there” revealed Accies coach Phil Marshall after the game. “We had a few injuries and players unavailable from last week but the lads who came in did a great job and ensured we have a few selection headaches this week”.
Marshall deserves much credit for substitute management allowing the home side to switch his team around at key moments in order to follow their game plan. Several players were allowed to shake off knocks, while fresh impetus was added by substitutes David Thompson, who added strength to the scrum and Stuart Elliott who featured across the backline…….. for the full report CLICK HERE
