Armagh won this game and became the league champions thereby. Earlier in the season the same teams had met and Armagh put over 100 points on Newry. Today the Newry 2nd 15 having worked very well since the first game and developed their bond were now in a position to say – today will be different. It was and although Armagh very deservedly won the game they new early on that Newry were going to make a game of it.
