Eleven year old Ryan Johnston has been selected to play for The Newforge Taggers in a demonstration game immediately proceeding the Investec International game on November 6th when England play the New-Zeeland All-Blacks in Twickenham in front of a sell-out crowd of eighty two thousand spectators.
The Newforge Taggers is a rugby club formed to facilitate young players with learning difficulties where they play Tag Rugby as opposed to the more formal game where there is full contact. Ryan also plays his rugby with the Armagh Mini Rugby Squad. Ryan is a true rugby fanatic and is to be seen regularly at games at Ravenhill when he and his brother Alex are season ticket holders.
