recovery footwear, today announced the launch of the Vernonia Slip On, a performance-driven recovery shoe designed to help athletes and anyone on their feet all day recover more quickly. Made with bio-based and recycled materials, the Vernonia supports optimal recovery while minimizing environmental impact.

Engineered with VELOUS’s proprietary Tri-Motion™ Technology, the Vernonia is designed to support the natural motion of the foot post-activity. A soft yet stable heel zone absorbs impact, balanced arch support aids alignment, and forefoot flexibility allows for gentle, active stretching that is ideal after long runs, intense training sessions, or long days of standing.

The Vernonia incorporates VELOUS Rethink Construction, the brand’s commitment to bio-based foams, recycled materials, and responsible production practices that minimize environmental impact without
sacrificing performance. Its breathable, sock-like stretch-knit upper is made from 100% recycled materials and adapts comfortably to the foot. Underfoot, a cushioned outsole crafted with 51% sugarcane-based biofoam works in tandem with a midsole that includes 20% recycled biofoam to deliver responsive comfort. Together, these materials create a roomy, supportive fit ideal for all-day recovery.

The Vernonia is available in three colorways: Black/Black, Grey/White, and Black/Neon Yellow and is available in limited quantities this fall. The shoe retails for $134.95 and joins VELOUS’s growing recovery footwear line, which includes a range of shoes and sandals designed with thoughtful recovery and comfort in mind.
