Malone victorious against Ballyclare in Junior Cup

Malone won their first Round Junior Cup game against a very capable and well drilled Ballyclare side.

Malone won their first Round Junior Cup game against a very capable and well drilled Ballyclare side.

The visiting Ballyclare side opened well and played some entertaining and expansive rugby, Malone found themselves trailing by 15 point after Ballyclare scored two unconverted tries and a penalty.

Malone started slowly but in the final fifteen minutes of the half they upped their game and got on to the scoreboard the half ended with Ballyclare ahed 18-15

The second half saw Ballyclare score a further two tries, one converted, whilst Malone scored a further 4 tries two of which were converted to leave the final score Malone 41 – 35 Ballyclare
