Malone RFC Notes: IV XV 29 v Academy RFC III XV 5

Malone improved with a steady performance.

Malone went over with an individual try by Christopher Allen in the 6th minute, but they then had a spell of slack play up until half time by silly kicking, such as passing the ball back over the 22 metre line and kicking directly for touch. Academy capitalised by scoring an unconverted try. After the half time break and a stiff talking to by the coach Malone stiffened up in defence tactics and ran in another four trys. The match was played in perfect weather on the number one pitch with an excelent referee who came over from Devon for the fixture!
