New Zealand claimed the first round of the World Rugby Women’s Seven Series after beating Australia in a classic final match in Dubai.

In front of a packed house in Dubai, Australia streaked 17 points ahead but, in a role reversal from last year’s final where the Australian girls came back from a massive deficit, New Zealand battled hard and claimed the victory, 19-17.
