I confess – this peice is part of a shameless trawl for support looking for those who might like to do good whilst I suffer.

As I sat with my son and watched Sport Relief with tears in our eyes I decided to ” Do something” rather than just phone in with a few quid. I came up with the plan to Cycle in Support of the Ulster Rugby team during the rest of this seasons Heineken Cup campaign.

So on Good Friday I set off on my bike for Limerick. Truth be told I kind of expected the bike to come back strapped to the back of the car. That wasn’t to be and 470 miles later I faced the prospect of the relatively shorter trip to Dublin and back .

So here I am with about 700 miles done and Twickenham to come….. should be another 450 or so.
