Rather than reflect on the actual result or the performance from the Bucks on Saturday I simply want to state a couple of facts for the record.
Grosvenor RFC sent out 4 teams on Saturday, 1st XV played in the cup with 5 subs, 2nds were due to play a league game, 3rds did play a league game and the 4th XV fulfilled a fixture away to Antrim with 3 subs.
Overall this meant that Grosvenor RFC turned out 68 players on Saturday with still a few to be called upon in the event of emergency.
It is only 6 or 7 years since the club had one team and limited scope for changing this. How times have changed!
Going back to the game on Saturday, despite a severely lack lustre performance and a total demolition of a result I can categorically state that I am proud of all 18 (19) Bucks/Stags who turned out to represent the club on Saturday.
Well done one and all! Our 100% record of fulfilling fixtures this season is still intact and should remain so for the rest of the season.
Added to this there was a sprinkling of new faces on the Bucks team on Saturday, who hopefully will not be put off by what was after all an aberration.
Onwards and upwards men of Grosvenor. The futures bright, the futures Blue, Green and White.
