Good Luck to Steven Lindsay who is running the Walled City Marathon on 2nd of June and has set of a just giving page for www.thameshospicecare.org.uk

My story

My Uncle Victor died on 23 March 2013. I was very close to him and he was a big influence on me – he has a lot to answer for!

He liked challenges and once he said he would do something he always saw it through, so I’ve decided to run the Walled City Marathon in Derry-Londonderry – the UK City of Culture 2013 – my hometown and his birthplace – in his memory.

He had lung cancer and spent his last days at Thames Hospicecare in Windsor, where he lived (www.thameshospicecare.org.uk). Their care for him was outstanding and I want to do my bit to raise some money to thank them and to help others.

I’ve set up a fund-raising page at Justgiving. If you would like to sponsor me follow the link to www.justgiving.com/runforvictor.

If you prefer to take a more traditional approach I also have a sponsorship form! Please contact me at slindsay@msca.co.uk
