Just over 15 months ago, Fintan was playing rugby for Belfast Harlequins 1st XV when he collapsed with a suspect hernia. Tragically the diagnosis was Stage Four Metastastic Melanoma. Fintan has battled heroically over the last 15 months with the help of the NHS. Unfortunately treatment has not been successful, this has included in partipating in a clinical trial in Newcastle.

He and his family found out about a new treatment in Frankfurt, Germany. This treatment involves conventional cancer treatment alongside natural methods, particularly innovative hyperthermia. Patients come from all over the world to visit the clinic run by Dr. Herzog. We won’t know what exactly Fintan will need until they assess him and his notes. However this treatment is very expensive, hence the reason for this page.

Fintan is only 28 years old, was married to his beautiful wife Rachael on the 6th April 2014, and has so much to battle on for. Please help him in his fight.
