Feature Article: The Crown Bar

Willie John and Penny McBride visited The Crown Bar one evening in February.

The couple dined downstairs in one of the snugs where Willie John enjoyed a steak and Guinness pie and Penny sampled a lasagne with chips.

Despite the bar being packed the service was very good and the dining experience compared favourably with the upstairs restaurant.

The bar certainly has the Willie John Seal of approval as he commented:

“An institution, an era that has been preserved and enriched as every year passes. Very tasty food as well!”
