The Co Cavan RFC underage girls made the trip to Ulster training. Shannen Lane, Morna O’Hanlon and Helen McDermott had their first U18 full squad training. They have been through a tough trial programme and have made it on to the squad. The have three games in November against the other provinces. Two games in Dublin and one in Belfast. They are training for the next three Sundays in Armagh under the watchful eye of Johnny Gilespie, Ulster Branch Youth Development Officer. Shannen Lane recently achieved an Irish cap as she played for Ireland in a sevens tournament in the Uk with the Irish team coming fourth overall. It is a great boost for women’s rugby in Cavan to have such talent coming up through the ranks. We wish the team well in all their games.
