A group of people from Carrickfergus Rugby Football Club will embark on a Coast To Coast 26. 2 miles marathon walk from Newcastle to Rostrevor though the Mourne Mountains on Saturday 18th June.
The walk is being done to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust
Everyday 6 teenagers hear the words “you have cancer” and they receive treatment on a ward with very young children or elderly patients.
T.C.T funds specialist units in NHS hospitals, providing an environment where teenagers can get on with being teenagers, an environment expected to improve survival rates and ensure a better future for patients and their families.
On Saturday 18th June Michael Dickson (Carrick’s Community Rugby Ofificer) and his ever supportive wife Tricia are leading 22 walkers through the Mournes to Rostrevor to raise much needed funds for T.C.T.
Those who have taken up the challenge include CRFC U19’s players, CRFC youth coaches, CRFC management members,
Player’s parents and friends of Carrickfergus Rugby Football Club.
If you would like to make a donation however small please send a cheque (with name, address and postcode) made payable to Teenage Cancer Trust to
Michael Dickson – 57 Upper Road Greenisland, Carrickfergus BT38 8RH.
