Always a superb cup! It does not matter what level a competition is played at, junior, senior, whatever it is when two teams win their way to a final you are sure to see some superb rugby. There will be no doubt that both teams will have prepared very well for this important fixture, a final no less of the Butler Shield!
This years final will be played between Malone RFC IV XV & LArne RFC III XV. The final will be played at Carrickfergus RFC. A sizeable crowd is sure to attend and come Saturday night there will be something of a party as one of the the clubs bring the Butler home!

It began in 1993 and is sometimes referred to as the McCambley plate.

Teams that are knocked out of the McCambley cup compete in the Bulter Shield. It is named in memmory of RR (Tony) Butler, a Collegian and Past President of Ulster Branch, IRFU, and long serving member of Ulster Branch
