Belfast St Patrick’s Day Celebrations Thursday 17 March 2011

Carnival Parade 12noon

The city centre becomes awash with colour and splendour as the St Patrick’s Day carnival takes to the streets. Community groups from all four corners of the city will join with professional and amateur performers, musicians and acrobats in our annual St Patrick’s Day carnival parade. The parade will leave from Belfast City Hall at 12noon and makes its way through the City Centre, finishing at Custom House Square. The theme for the 2011 parade is ‘the environment’ – what can we do to reduce our waste and keep Belfast clean and green!

Concert, 1pm-3pm

Custom House Square will be the venue for the 2011 St Patrick’s Day concert. The Concert will begin at 1pm and finish at 3pm. This free concert will feature a mix of traditional music and dance, with music from a popular artist. Headline acts still to be announced so watch this space………………….
