Second half blitz sees off Grosvenor

Inspirational half time team talk does the damage
Ballymoney got off to a bad start, before they even arrived at Grosvenor, turning up without a kit! Playing in random gear meant the first half was a bit of a training run. Garvin Bellingham had the highlight when he made a great 50 m break into their 22 but couldn’t find a pass to Sandy Macauley, missing out on his first chance of the day. The Toon soaked up the pressure well in the first half with some good defence, but turned around 6-0 down.
Fortunately, the aces were still in the deck – and a full house was dealt with an inspirational half time team talk from stand in manager for the day Spyder Mulholland and Captain Smyth.
The visitors immediately got off to a good start with winning a scrum against the head – great work from the front 5. Neal Mulholland picked from 8 and linked up well with Soupy Linton to break away. The backs hit it up well, and the forwards rumbled on for a while – until Mulholland pounced on a mistake by the defence for the first try………… for the full story CLICK HERE
