Sunshine and Smiles at Ballymoney R.F.C. – It was all sunshine and smiles on Sunday as the Ballymoney Ladies 1st XV brought their development season to a close with a 20 – 15 win over the ladies of Ballyshannon at Ballymoney R.F.C. However the visitors made it anything but easy for the TOON girls. The visitors were never able to quite shake off the home team after Ballymoney had taken an early lead. Ballyshannon played with heart and no little skill and pushed all the way until the final whistle as they looked for a final draw securing try. The game could have went either way, but it was the power of the Ballymoney forwards, the tenacious defence of the whole team and an overwhelming desire for victory that kept Ballyshannon at bay as the TOON ladies secured their first home win of the season.
