Ballyclare RFC News: Coulter Pitch Renovation Has started: Cost 50% Funded by Newtownabbey Borough Council

Since the end of the season the Grounds Committee have been working hard on pitch repairs including a major renovation of the Coulter Pitch. This involved stripping 90mm from the top of the pitch, spreading over 170 tons of sand, fertilising and seeding the whole playing area. This expensive contract could not have been undertaken had it not been for the 50% Capital Funding Grant from Newtownabbey Borough Council. We are again very grateful for they support in this project which will greatly improve the playing surface of this pitch. Although there is still some work to be completed on the pitch we are hopeful that it will be available for matches towards the end of October.”
