AMAZING DAY OUT! Pig Racing at Larne Rugby Club! BUY YOUR PIGS (£10) IN ADVANCE! FREE ADMISSION ~ 20th July

Family Fun Event comes to Larne Rugby Club to raise funds for the club and for Action Cancer. Starts 2.30pm.
So, for a fun family day come to Larne Rugby Club Sat 20th July.

The event starts at 2.30pm.
ADMISSION ON THE DAY IS FREE – So bring the family.

There will be 6 races in all.
This is a FAMILY day out, the kids also have a bouncy castle to entertain them and BBQ is available to stop them from getting hungry.
Anyone can buy/sponsor a pig for £10 and if your pig wins, you receive a prize. This has to be done by the 17th July to allow printing of the programs.

On the day you can back your favourite pig or the pig on form. You can purchase ballot tickets at the value of £1, £2 or £3 to do this. The more people backing a pig effects the pigs odds and so on. Obviously the aim is to back the winning pig of the race.

All proceeds are a 50/50 split between Larne Rugby Club and fundraising proceeds for Rebekka and Tracey McIlwaines Action Cancer Himalayan Trek trip.

Rebekka:
“We will be trekking 70km through the foothills of the Himalayas in North East India.
The challenge begins in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama and the center of the Tibetan Community are situated.
The trek continues through Gaddi, Rhododendron forests, Hindu settlements and Buddhist Monasteries.
We will be paying all expenses for the trip ourselves so all money raised will go directly to Action Cancer.”

This is another fun day at the club with a difference.

“If the person wants to name their pig by all means they can. Prize to the value of a tenner if your pig wins its race. I need the names of all pig owners by the 17th July in order to make up the brochure for the actual day.”
