Afoa To Start 2013/14 Season For Ulster after Surgery In New Zealand

Afoa to have surgery in New Zealand

All Black Prop John Afoa will today undergo surgery in Auckland to repair a torn tricep tendon in his left arm.

The injury was sustained in the RaboDirect PRO12 Final against Leinster and will require a recovery period of 10-12 weeks.

Afoa, who made 26 appearances for the Province last season, is therefore expected to be available for the start of the 2013/14 campaign.
