Derry YMCA 14 – Letterkenny 15
In the final game of the Gordon West Cup group stages it was a the players from the 2nd XV who were given a chance to show that they could step up a level to Qualifying level rugby by travelling to face Derry YMCA. It was to be a close encounter with each side really putting in everything in both attack and defence. Derry got an early try in the first half but this didn’t stop Kenny who were rewarded for their efforts with a fantastic break away try from scrum half McNichol a few minutes later.
