U16’s Cup campaign off to a great start.
Saturday saw Ballymoney Youth U16’s host city boys Malone in the first round of the Ulster Carpets Cup. Malone came to the Kilraughts Rd in confident mood having secured 3rd spot in the league above the “Toon” lads and looked as if the meant business in their pre match warm up with slick hands and fast line speed. But someone forgot to show the Ballymoney lads the script. Straight from the kick off B’money number 8 Graham Donnelly collected the ball and charged straight at the Malone pack knocking several white jerseys to the floor, good quick ball gave the “TOON” backs an early opportunity to get a feel for the ball.
