RABODIRECT PRO12 – RECORD CROWDS FOR FINAL STAGES
The RaboDirect PRO12 Play-Offs saw record attendances, up 18% on last year, as Leinster and Glasgow Warriors secured their place in the 2014 Final.

On Friday night, a record 10,000 capacity crowd turned up to Scotstoun to see the Warriors edge past Munster 16-15 in a classic encounter to ensure the Scottish side’s first ever RaboDirect PRO12 Final.

Just 24 hours later, there was another record Play-Off crowd at the RDS as Leinster fought back to beat Ulster and win a place in the Final to be held in Dublin for third year in a row.

With the RaboDirect PRO12’s top two sides set to collide, organisers are already anticipating even more for the Final and are expecting the largest travelling support from a Scottish club side. The RDS is on stand-by to increase capacity to cope with the expected numbers if necessary.

The intensity and quality of the encounters also translated in increased TV viewership figures as well as increased interest in our digital channels, i.e. Our YouTube Channels has recorded 3.5 million views.
