Americas Rugby Cup Returns to Canada in October

The IRB America’s Rugby Championship (ARC) is returning to the Canadian Centre of Excellence, in Langford, British Columbia in October.

The tournament, which is played between USA Selects, Uruguay, Argentina Jaguars and Canada “A” will be played from October 11 to 19. The round-robin competition will be played across three match days – October 11, 15 and 19 – and is the third year the competition has been staged in Canada.

The ARC, which is funded by the International Rugby Board, plays a very important high-performance role for participating nations and for the ongoing growth of Rugby in the region.

IRB Regional General Manager for North America and the Caribbean Tom Jones said: “Hosting the IRB America’s Rugby Cup this year will give the teams a good opportunity to test their progress against tough opposition. It’s the third year that the ARC has come to Canada and it’s great for Canadian Rugby fans, who love to watch tournaments of such a high level.”
